Hello, and welcome to my website. This page will make you better understand whom I am as a person as well as designer. Whether it is you already know me, or just happened to stumble upon this page, I do welcome you and thank you for visiting!
I am a freelance graphic and website designer that performs art work nation wide within the United States and Canada. I was born and raised just outside of Portland, Maine. Going to school at Windham high School, I have learned to love art at a young age.
During high school, I attended a vocational school (Portland Arts and Technology) to further my focus in the design field of graphic arts and printing technology; often called lithography. My first year was in communication design, which got you to think about ideas and planning for the correct project for the right genre. My second year was in the actual production of Printing and graphics. Here, I would use the software for pre-press and run printing presses. Balancing, high school basketball, working full time in dietary at a local nursing home, track and field, and still attending family events made it difficult to put most of my hours on just designing. |

After taking a year off from my graduating class of 1999, I decided to get my associates degree from Central Maine Tech in Auburn, ME. There I met many friends and the hands-on experience needed to fill a good job in the field of study. I graduated from Central Maine by August of 2002. I have started working for Print Mail of Maine as a pre-press tech and bindery worker. Shortly I was off to Pyramid Checks and Printing as a data input, graphic designer, computer to plate, and setting up files for print.
By February of 2003, I migrated south to Viera, FL where I was absolutely relaxed and took some time off from designing. It wasn't long when I landed a job at BCT Graphics located just north of Orlando. BCT is a nationwide company that works with producing of business cards and other typeset / printing forms. There are about 45 locations all over the United States.
When the hurricanes of 2004 hit Florida, I ended up back in Maine where I began to start my own freelance business. By February of 2005 I became the proud owner of Custom Made Graphics. Since then, I have been designing address labels, brochures, business cards, note pads, logos and websites custom made for my clients. Although, the name has died, I still continue to produce the highest quality designs for the lowest prices around.
By the start of 2006 I continued my education at Collins College in Tempe, AZ. Collins is a specialist college in art and design. At Collins College I have enhanced the tools needed to run basic website designs. By the end of 2006 I have quickly changed my name from Custom Made Graphics to Chris W. Paradis Freelance Design Services.
I have worked for OfficeMax as a graphic designer while in school. I have produced a few corporate designs that are still in use today. I currently work for a non-emergency medical transportation company here during the times I am not designing. Feel free to come back and check on my website for any new information or deals that maybe running.
